Keynote Speaker for the 2007 Tech Fair was Mike Lawrence, CUE's Executive Director. Over the last fifteen years, he has impacted education as a teacher, speaker, technology coordinator, and director. In 2003, he was honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator.


A frequent presenter at local and national conferences, Mike’s varied background, passion for student achievement through technology, and humor are ingredients in any presentation he gives; this combination results in a message that always resonates with the audience.

Tech Fair Basic Information:

• Conference registration cost (Lunch included):
$35 for members, $45 for non-members, $10 for full-time students

The 2007 Technology Fair was presented by San Gabriel Valley CUE and Pomona Unified School District. This is in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) Region 11, Apple, Inc. and Valley Academies Foundation.

Cost of Attending:

Cost of attending included a wonderful lunch prepared by Chef Patrick Moysan and his students who are part of the Village Academy High School Hospitality Food-Services Program. The conference took place from 7:30 until 3:00 with on-site registration starting at 7:30. Once again this year the Tech Fair provided both presentations and hands-on sessions. Prices were:
$35—Members
$45—Non-members
$10–Full-time students

Group discounts were available for groups of five (5) or more individuals from the same school site or district who registered together. The discount was $10 per person. If you are a member, the price was $25, if non-members the price was $35.

Vendor support for the 2007 Tech Fair was great! We had sixteen vendors present in the Vendor Hall. Each of the sixteen were very generous in supplying outstanding door prizes for our closing session. If you were in attendance, we're sure you agree.
