2021 Call for Affiliate Board of Directors Nominations

The call for Affiliate Board of Directors nominations will be open until midnight February 26, 2021.  The Nominating Committee will review all complete nominations and candidates are selected. Elections will be held at our Annual Affiliate Meeting at the National CUE Conference in Palm Springs on March 26, 2021. Must be a current CUE member.

Duties of Board Members

San Gabriel Valley CUE (SGVCUE) is an independent, not-for-profit educational group that is organized to support technology usage in educational settings. SGVCUE traditionally hosts 3-5 Coffee Breaks, a tech fair in October, various meetups, and additional mini-events for professional development for educators. The SGVCUE board is an 11 member volunteer committee that directs the operations of SGVCUE. In addition to serving as a board member at large, there are offices that can be held by board members.

Board meetings are held once per month during the school year starting in August and ending with an affiliate retreat in June. The meetings are held the second Saturday of the month from 9:00am to 12:00 pm. Board members are expected to calendar those events and attend unless an emergency arises. If unable to attend, the board member is expected to notify the board president in advance and obtain a proxy so that board business can be carried out. It is also expected that absent board members review the minutes of the meeting in order to keep current with board discussions and decisions. Duties of board members include:
  • Attendance and participation at all monthly board meetings
  • Reading and contributing to the meeting agenda in advance
  • Reviewing the minutes in advance of the meeting
  • Participate on board committee(s)
  • Attend and help out at all events
  • Promote SGVCUE and its events to colleagues and through social media
Your nominating submission acknowledges that you have read and do understand the duties expected of a board member, and are prepared to carry them out to the best of your ability if elected. 

2021 SGVCUE Board Nominees – Voting will start on March 26th at 6pm for SGVCUE members.

Ballots will be sent to you via email from Election Buddy. You can only vote once for the candidates you want to serve on the board. Thank you for participating in the election process.
