Board Members up for election this year

rmccall
Robin McCall, Treasurer
Having only been an active CUE member since 2007, I count it a privilege to be on the board. Teaching for over twenty-seven years in the 5 – 8th grades, I have had a passion for technology in the classroom from the very beginning. I received my Masters degree in Educational Technology from Azusa Pacific University. My background includes, having a one-computer classroom for many years, the start-up of a computer lab, integrating technology in the classroom, and working on the Technology Committee with Association of Christian Schools International.  Currently, I am the technology teacher for junior high at Sonrise Christian School in Covina.  During the 2007/2008 school year I served on the Technology Committee that helped build our Laptop Learning Program (a laptop for every child).  My role quickly expanded into training other teachers and serving as the junior high technology mentor in many areas.

Laurie McFarlane
Laurie majored in Cognitive Science in college and is passionately interested in technology as it applies to the learning brain.   She'll soon be completing her 9th year of teaching first grade at her alma mater, Mountain Avenue Elementary School, and her 8th year of serving as district Technology Rep for our school site.   Laurie first joined CUE in 1998, and became a STAR Discovery Educator in 2008.  Laurie has benefited tremendously from the many classes and endless support offered by members of SGVCUE, and looks forward to an opportunity to “give back” by helping those who have taught her so much about the exciting world of educational technology, and by joining them in supporting other educators.
